The Nurse: Netflix Announces New Danish True-Crime Thriller Series

Based on Kristian Corfixen's true-crime book titled The Nurse: Inside Denmark's Most Sensational Criminal Trial, published in October, 2022 by Podium Publishing, The Nurse is going to be the latest addition in Netflix Scandinavian Original series, narrating the true of a Danish nurse who was accused of murdering four of her patients at Nykøbing Falster Hospital. Josephine Park will play the role of the titular nurse, Christina Aistrup Hansen, and Fanny Louise Bernth will be her colleague, Pernille Kurzmann Larsen. The scandal broke out in 2015 when a member of the hospital staff alerted the authorities and disclosed her suspicions regarding the death of several patients. Aistrup Hansen was tried, convicted and sentenced to life in prison in 2016. But this is only the beginning of the story as the show's creators like to proclaim. The series is directed by Kasper Barfoed and written by Dorte Warnøe Høgh. The exact date of release is yet to be announce, so keep tuned.
