‘Succession,’ ‘The Last Of Us’ & ‘The Bear’ Lead 2023 TCA Awards Nominations

The members of the Television Academy will reveal the 2023 Primetime Emmy Award nominations on Tuesday, July 12. This morning, the members of the Television Critics Association (including this writer) revealed the nominees for the 2023 TCA Awards. “Succession,” “The Last of Us” and “The Bear” tied with five nominations each.

“Abbott Elementary,” which took Program of the Year in 2022, landed four nominations along with newcomer “Poker Face.” Five programs – “Andor,” “Jury Duty,” “Mrs. Davis,” “Shrinking” and “Better Call Saul” – earned three nominations each. “Ted Lasso,” which earned Program of the Year along with two other honors in 2021 and two nominations in 2022, was snubbed for what is expected to be its final season.

The prestigious Program of the Year nominees include “Abbott,” “Andor,” “Better Call Saul,” “Poker Face,” “Succession,” “The Bear,” “The Last of Us,” “The White Lotus,” and, in a major surprise, “The Other Two.”

The Outstanding Achievement in Drama nominees are “Andor,” “Better Call Saul,” “Interview With The Vampire,” “Succession,” “The Good Fight,” “The Last of Us,” “The White Lotus” and “Yellowjackets.
