Sarah Jessica Parker, Lauren Groff, and Meg Medina are among the marquee stars who will keynote at the 2023 U.S. Book Show. Also appearing in person are Young People’s Poet Laureate Elizabeth Acevedo, bestselling authors Mitch Albom and Lauren Groff, and Booker longlister Kiley Reid.
Groff, author of the novel Matrix and Fates and Furies, will open the Adult Books segment of the show and discuss her forthcoming book The Vaster Wilds, which will be published by Riverhead in September.
New Yorker staff cartoonist and National Book Critics Circle Award winner Chast will keynote during Adult Books Day and preview her forthcoming graphic narrative I Must Be Dreaming, which will be published by Bloomsbury in October.
Emmy-winning actor Parker launched her publishing imprint, SJP Lit, last year, in collaboration with independent publisher Zando Projects. Parker will speak with author Kim Coleman Foote, whose debut novel Coleman Hill will be published by SJP Lit in September, for the lunchtime keynote on Adult Books Day.

The adult "Big Books" panel this year will feature Acevedo, who will make her adult fiction debut with Family Lore, which will be published by Ecco in August; Albom, who will be discussing his forthcoming novel The Little Liar, to be published by Harper in November; and Reid, author of the Booker-longlisted Such a Fun Age, who will discuss her second novel Come and Get It, forthcoming from Putnam in January 2024.
The children's program will open with a keynote by middle-grade author and Newbery medalist Medina, the current National Ambassador for Young People's Literature.
The U.S. Book Show, now in its third year, is a four-day hybrid event for publishing professionals, librarians, booksellers, and media, taking place May 22-25 in person at New York University and online.
