Paradise: Netflix Drops Trailer for German Sci-Fi Action Thriller

Set in a not-too-distant future, Paradise sees a radical new form of financing created, one that allows the transfer of years of life from one person to another — changing the world forever and turning biotech start-up AEON into a billion-dollar pharmaceutical company.

For Max (Kostja Ullmann, Tatort: Cologne, Beat) and Elena (Marlene Tanczik, Never Look Away, Milk & Honey), their almost-perfect life is changed forever when the couple is faced with unexpected insurance claims that they can’t possibly pay. As a last resort and with no other choice, Elena sells 40 years of her life to AEON — robbing her and Max of their life together and leaving their future in tatters.
