As we begin to enter into the summer season, it seems that Nordic film and TV series’ tend to slow down a little bit – but don’t worry, there will be still plenty to discover! Here are some new releases coming up in June.

A Beautiful Life | Denmark | OUT NOW

Kicking the month off will be Mehdi Avaz’s A Beautiful Life, a musical drama featuring one of Denmark’s biggest musical stars – Christopher. This is the musician’s debut film and it is a very impressive one when you know he can already sing really well!

The film follows his character, Elliott, a trawler man whose life doesn’t seem to be going anywhere until one day a talent scout hears him sing and looks to sign him up to stardom – but Elliott seems to have a lot of emotional baggage to work through.
