Based on the titular Kristina Ohlsson's fourth installment in the "Alex Recht & Fredrika Bergman" novel series, Hostage (Swedish title: Kapningen) will be out on February 20, 2023 on CMore. The show will be an independent follow-up to the commercially successful Sthlm Requiem series starring Liv Mjönes and Jonas Karlsson which aired one season of 10 episodes in 2018. The story of this new series is written by Max Barron (Moscow Noir) and the protagonists will be played by the same actors incarnating them in Sthlm Requiem (Mjönes and Karlsson). The cast also includes Adam Lundgren, Tsahi Halevi, Gustaf Hammarsten, David Fukamachi Regnfors, Rita Hjelm, and Zardasht Rad. The story revolves around an airplane hijacking that sets off an avalanche of developments entailing the secret service (SAPO), Syrian refugees, and the deep state of Sweden. The director is Karin Fahlén and the producers are Martina Stöhr and Petra Jönsson for Kärnfilm.
